Katy is still plugging away at her ‘Zombody Loves Ewe’ socks by Desert Vista Dyeworks and her Reyna shawl using her handspun ‘Darkside of the Room’ by Spun Right Round. She’s also working on the Christmas Celebration Cross Stitch by the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery and she cast on the ‘Hexie Love Actually‘ afghan!

Val has been going strong on her dishcloths, both knitted and crocheted! She is the dishcloth queen lately!
FOs and HOs
Katy has nuffin! 😦 She has been in a knitting/crafting slump lately but is starting to get into it again after casting on the Hexie Love Actually blanket. Val did finish one dishcloth even though she’s been in a crafting slump lately too. We blame the hot weather.
Needs and Wants
Katy needs to have a nice night out with her Hubby ❤ Val needs the crazy real estate market to end!
Val wants sushi! Katy wants to get her crafty mojo back!!
Katy wants to take more baths since her mom got her a couple of LUSH bath bombs from the States. Val needs to fix the paint scuffs on the bumper of her car.
Val learned something at work, and Katy learned about ‘Hiddleswift’, or ‘Swiffleston’, however you want to call it; Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are dating. We’re both very happy for them (although Katy just feels a little weird about the whole thing) and we wish them the best.
These are a few of our Favourite Things
Katy’s favourite things are the really pretty speckled yarns from ‘Loloditit‘ on Etsy! She especially loves the colourway ‘Pretty Little Zombies‘. She is also really wanting the Neko Atsume bags from Chicken Boots USA!!! Val and Katy are both fans of the game and to have cute kitties on your knitting bag would be epic! Katy’s makeup lately has been all ColourPop, especially their Supershock shadows in ‘Wattles’, ‘Weenie’ and ‘Stereo’. She also got a couple of crates ‘Owlcrate‘ which was Steampunk themed and ‘Fandom of the Month Club‘ with Sherlock themed jewellery! AND she forgot to mention the super awesome Doctor Who Bag that Katy’s mom made for her as a Mother’s Day present! ❤ Love you Mom xoxo

Reading, Watching and Listening
Katy’s been reading the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris and enjoying them much more than ‘True Blood’. She also finished ‘Frostfire’ by Amanda Hocking.
Val’s reading not much of anything lately!
Val is watching season 6 of Game of Thrones and enjoying it thoroughly and she is also watching Outlander along with Katy. They are both watching a lot of youtube videos of makeup artists and of course, our friends Emily and Abby:

Katy’s also been watching WWE (of course) and is very excited about the Money in the Bank pay per view as Dean Ambrose is in the money in the bank ladder match, and if he wins, conceivably he could cash it in for the Heavyweight Championship! She can’t wait
Val has really been liking the song Can’t stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake and also the other song ‘Work’ by Rhianna featuring Drake.
Katy’s been listening to Karate by Baby Metal, Tear in my Heart by 21 Pilots, Roses by The Chainsmokers, Slow Down by Lights and …. hahahah Moonlight Desires by Gowan! WARNING, if you click the link for Moonlight Desires, just let it be known it is the cheesiest of 80’s videos and contains, mullets, shoulder pads, parachute pants and an owl in the desert for some reason. Be warned!!! Therein lies cheese!!
So there you have it folks, hopefully we can get out a couple more episodes before the summer is over, but the nature of both our jobs is wiping us out completely. We know our listeners will understand and we hope to get back to you soon with another fun episode.
