FOs and HOs

Katy finished the Clockwork for her husband using Cascade Heritage Sock in ‘Mossy Rock’ and ‘Walnut’! And she finished one Vanilla Bean sock using KnitPicks Felici in Wizard…which is sold out now so Katy was super happy to have snagged some.

WIPs

Val is still working on her awesome rainbow stripes afghan using a multitude of colours of Red Heart Super Saver!

Katy is working on ALL the socks!  She’s finishing the 2nd socks using Red Heart Heart & Sole in  ‘Spring Stripes’ and ‘Toasted Almond’. She is also spinning on one of her 22g Ashford drop spindles using the lovely gift that Gingynorth had sent her! (biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig thank you to Gingy!!). She’s spinning ‘Hand of the King’ Sweet Rolls by The Wooly Witch on Etsy.

NEEDS AND WANTS

Katy desperately needs a day off!  Val needs to get herself one of those reusable aluminum water bottles.  Both Katy & Val want to see Minions together.  What Katy wants to do is practice spinning for the Royal Winter Fair and she learned that being jacked up on caffeine really makes her feel yucky!  What Val has learned is that the Canadian dollar is at its lowest since 2004!

YOU HAD ME AT YARN!….And Patterns!!!

Katy really likes the ‘Arcane’ spinning rolags from JujaBeesFiber on Etsy!

She also loves a few new patterns:
Glittering Caves by Corrine Walcher
Meniscus by Larissa Brown
Perfect Retreat Shawl by Susan B. Anderson

Val loves the pattern Bug Warmer by Taiga Hilliard! It’s the perfect quick baby sweater to make and the sizing goes up to 6 years!!! You know, for bigger bugs 😉

Val fell in love with “Maple Leaf” by FiberFangirl on Etsy.

NEW STUFF

Val got some new yarn from Katy’s trip to the Spinrite Outlet – 2 skeins of ‘Bramble Stripe’ Patons Kroy Sock yarn.

Katy got quite a lot (again!): 2 bags of Patons Bamboo Silk in ‘Pink Petunia’ to make a Gemini Tee-shirt. She received a lovely gift from Gingynorth (Instagram) of 2oz of ‘Hand of the King’ by the Wooly Witch on Etsy. She pre-ordered the Forest Friends Bag (Totoro print) and Totoro notions pouch from Little Skein in the Big Wool on Etsy and a Patchwork Heart V-neck t-shirt from Patchwork Threads.

WHAT WE’RE READING, WATCHING & LISTENING TO

Katy isn’t reading much of anything right now, but she did pick up 11 volumes of Ouron High School Host Club graphic novels at a Knights of Colombus garage sale for $5 🙂  She’s watching WWE (of course), Swerved and Total Divas on E! network. She saw Jurassic World and it was really good, really didn’t need 3D though. She’s going to see Terminator Genesys with her husband and a friend and hopes to see Minions as well. She’s listening to ‘The Sound of Your Heart’ by Shawn Hook, ‘Fall’ by Cider Sky and ‘Photograph’ by Ed Sheeran (swoon).

Val has been re-reading a Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon and watching the last episodes of Hannibal and she’s been listening to ‘Fight Song’ by Rachel Platten.
